You know, I had no idea that earth had two satellites, and now the BBC is telling us we may have three?
It seems that an amateur astronomer in Arizona caught site of a new object orbiting our planet, which must have just gotten caught by earth’s gravity. Whether the object is a spent rocket casing or something more natural is yet uncertain, but we do know that the thing is relatively small in comparison to the moon.
As for earth’s second moon, you’d think that would have been mentioned to me during one of my undergraduate astronomy classes, no?
