The Frenchies are always coming up with crazy ideas, like stuffing pastries with white creamy filling, or taking off a week of work because of a sports game, but this tops them all. We’re talking cars-running-on-air, people, and if that’s not borderline genius/insanity, then I don’t know what is.
What’s funny about this whole thing is the speculation about bringing the air-car prototype into production, for use in cities. Specifically, the article mentions taxis, which, IMO, is ridiculous. Since the article proposes that urban use won’t be performance-oriented, the taxi suggestion is pure idiocy – have they seen the way cab drivers operate their vehicles? If taxis didn’t have a kick to them, fares would take longer, there’d prolly be more accidents from psycho cab-drivers attempting to cut others off and failing, et al. Or, maybe, France just has the friendliest, most laid-back cab drivers on earth.
