My parents always told me to get a good night’s sleep before an exam, and I guess they were right. It appears that sleep invigorates the mind in such a way that lost memories are restored. While the aforelinked article is not very detailed, I wonder how far the regeneration of memories go. For instance, can sleep eventually bring back memories that you haven’t maintained for years and years, or does it only aid in bringing back recent memories?
