Persona intelligentia.

by WyldKard on June 20, 2004

As you’ve undoubtedly seen by now, we’ve implemented some cutting edge, experimental artificial intelligence (AI) software. In exchange for our help and resources in testing the software, the developers have signed an exclusive contract for us to be the sole testing platform for the package.

The specifics of the codebase and package design is a trade secret, and rather difficult to explain simply. In essence, the program analyzes the collected works and public statements of many figures, including philosophers, intellectuals, and other personalities. The system then simulates their reactions to stimulus from various inputs, both human and other simulated thinkers.

Unlike other projects with similar goals, ours is rather unique in that many of our hosted personas feed directly from the personalities they are based on, thanks to specialized DNA sequencing and genetic analysis. Again, the specifics of this is process is rather arcane, and for obvious reasons, they cannot be revealed here.

Now that the system has gone live, we are encouraging you, the general public, to provide us with questions on any topic that might interest you. We will then observe how our council of virtual sages react to these inquiries. We have done everything we can to get this system at least partially operational as soon as possible, and while the AI seems to be functioning, please be patient with the many imperfections of the interface, which will continue to be worked on.
