Great post. Hit the nail right on the head. I cannot stress enough the importance of a skilled group of people to raid with. Paladin tanks are so often given bad names because no body wants to be on the same page. DPS classes are always going to want to top the damage meter, and doing so, disreguard the fact that they still need to be under the tanks threat. So before anyone says a paladin cannot tank you need to take a good look at your group and what they are doing. As far as I'm concerned; mages, warlocks, rogues, ect. need to concentrate more on their OMEN or KTM and quit worrying if there #1 on the DPS meter. In addition, I love your idea about changing the dps meter :). This was mostly all said in the thread but coming from a pally tank i just waned to reiterate it. Paladins have MT every boss in BC from Attunsmen to Illidian, therefore there is no reason for anyone to ever say they would rather have a warrior over a paladin and if they do, it's because they have no knoledge of the game and how tanking works what so ever. That being said, I also think it is important for us paladin tanks to do our homework and really be knoledgeable on our class now more then ever. The Paladin tanking role is only going to get better and demanded more which means it's extremely important for us to make a positive name for ourselves while its relitivly new. Dont be the one half assing things and giving everyone else whos trys really hard a bad name. First impressions are everything. In the end just remember it is not whether you are a warrior or paladin, its the player and the group that determines the succes or failier of a raid/instance.
