Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is nothing new to us at mendax.org. In fact, we incorporated RSS into the site a whole five years ago, even though we didn’t always get the draw of the technology. Nonetheless, we even went and got us a Feedburner feed, just in case our out-of-box WordPress feed wasn’t good enough.
The way we gather information from the web these days has changed from when we first incorporated RSS. Nowadays, with feed readers, and feeds themselves being as ubiquitous as they are, most of our reading is done via a reader instead of on the actual web sites on which the feeds are generated. The lesson here is that tracking feed subscriptions becomes a practice in analytics, and so we thought we’d slowly begin advertising our Feedburner feed, which carries the same information as out basic feed, only with more information for us.
That said, if you’re a reader of the site and want our RSS feed, or are already reading us via our basic RSS feed, consider throwing our Feedburner feed into your reader, which we’re naturally labeling mendax.rss. Your bandwidth will thank you.
