I thought I got lucky because I got a Motorola Cliq XT for free. I didn’t realize that, well, that’s because their rep is so bad they’ve got to give these phones away to get people to use them. The phone did work well for awhile. However, now I’ve got two hug problems. First, the phone sends all my calls to voicemail. Yep, that’s right, I can’t get calls on my phone! Second, the home button doesn’t work. That means but for Pandora running in the background, running multiple apps on that phone is impossible now.

I called their customer service department over and over. All I keep getting is “I’m sorry ma’am”. I called yesterday because the only option is to send the phone in for repairs. It took 30 minutes to get that done. Yes, I tried getting it done online and the page would just hang for minutes at a time. The whole time the rep was like “I’m sorry…” Eventually, I told her to stop saying she was sorry because that means nothing if the situation stays the same. My carrier can’t replace the phone because Motorola gave it to me for free.

That’s just lovely and adds another anecdotal story to “you get what you pay for.” This is just ridiculous.
